We went to Cancun, Mexico and had a blast! The first set of pictures is our hotel room. We had a kitchen, living room area and bed and bathroom. It was really nice! Our balcony had a couple of chairs and our very own swimming pool, which we never used because it was always super cold.
We had breakfast a few times just a little walk away from our room. It was delicious! The first picture is the view we had while we were eating. We mostly ordered room service because that was the best food they had besides the breakfast but that was really expensive so we only ate there a couple times. We decided that we don't much care for authentic mexican food. They had a little grocery store by our room and we found some good food there too. We went to Playa del Carmen quite a few times and walked around and had fun looking at all the things they try to sell you. We decided to eat lunch one day at this resturant in Playa and decided to get some virgin Pina Colada's so we asked our waiter and he brought us our drinks and then just stood there so we took a sip and right off the bat we could tell something was wrong. We asked our waiter if he put alcohol in them and his reply was "just a little." So we learned from there on out that we had to start saying no alcohol instead of virgin because they didn't quite get that virgin meant no alcohol at all. It was funny, we got a really good laugh out of it. We took a bus one day and went on a tour of the Chitzen Itza temple. We saw this really cool sink hole, which is the big picture with vine looking things. While we were there we found these really good popsicles. They were the best! We couldn't get enough of those!
We got to see one of the seven wonders of the world which is the pyramid below. It was really cool! We wished we could've walked up the stairs. We had a really good time there. We both love history so it was fun to learn about that. That was probably our favorite thing we did.
We also took a boat one day and visted the Island of Cozumel. We rented a car and drove around the whole island. That was fun to just be on our own and not have to worry about transportation. We stopped at a little Bob Marley bar on the beach and got ourselves some more Pina Colada's. We loved those things as you can probably tell by our pictures! This time they listened when we asked for no alcohol! We went to another beach called Paradise Beach and while we were there layin out we noticed that there was a tornado forming. Im pointing to it in the picture below. It was really cool but decided that it was time to head back. We didn't want to get caught in any kind of storm. It was kinda scary. But we made it safely back.
I love blogs. It is a great way to keep up on people's lives without having to talk all the time. Looks like your honeymoon was fantastic. Congratulations on the marraige!
